TAJ MAHAL THE WORLD WONDER




The Taj Mahal is an beautiful mausoleum in 1632 by the Mughals king Shah Jahan to house the remains of his wife. It was Constructed over a 20-year period of southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. This framed complex is one of the most beautiful examples of Mughal architecture, which combined Indian, Persian and Islamic influences. At its center is the Taj Mahal itself, built of eye white marble that seems to change color depending on the daylight time. UNESCO itself announced Taj Mahal as World Heritage site in 1983, it remains one of the world’s most lovable celebrated structures and a good looking symbol of India’s history.


SHAH JAHAN
He was a member of the Mughals dynasty that ruled mostly of north India from early 16th to the mid 18th century. After the death of his beloved father, King Jahangir, in 1627, Shah Jahan emerged the victor of a bitter power struggle with his owned brothers although crowned himself emperor of Agra in 1628.
Taking another side was arjumand banu begum, popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal (this place was only mumtaz) whom he married in 1612.

In 1631, Mumtaz died after giving birth to the couple’s 14th child. Shah Jahan, known for commissioning a number of impressive structures throughout his period, ordered the building of a magnificent mausoleum across the Yamuna River from his own royal palace at Agra.

Construction work taken by the help of  20,000 workers from India, Europe and Persia along with some 1,000 elephants, were brought in to build the mausoleum complex at Agra, UP.

Design and Construction of the Taj Mahal
After Construction was finished, and That structure named as Taj Mahal to honor of  Mumtaz Mahal, it was constructed with white marble inlaid with semi-precious stones (that includes jade, crystal, lapis lazuli, amethyst and turquoise).

Air pollution from nearby places and factories and automobiles poses a continual threat to Taj mahal gleaming white marble façade, and in 1998,Supreme Court of India ordered a number of anti pollution rules and measures to protect building from pollution. Thereby Some factories around closed, and  vehicular traffic was banned from the immediate vicinity of the complex.
